Shadowhunters Season 3 Promo: Lilith Rises!

A new evil has risen from the depths of hell and this one is the mother of all problems. Prepare yourselves, Shadowhunters fans, this battle is only getting started. Lilith, the dark figure we saw appear at the end of Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 20, has flown her way out of hell to complete her mission. And, from the looks of her anger, she's not playing around. In the new Shadowhunters Season 3 trailer below, Lilith reveals that she wants to bring her son, Sebastian (aka the real Jonathan Morgenstern), back from the dead. We last saw Jonathan's corpse lying in that creepy cavern overlooked by the shadowy figure. His days looked numbered after dying on the beach, but we got a slight glimmer of hope that he could return. In the first clip of the promo, Jonathan's body has been brought to a church for a "rebirth." Will Lilith succeed in bringing her son back or will he stay dead? If you checked out our Shadowhunters reviews last season, you know my stance on the matter. (Yes, it's weird to want the villain back, but it's no secret I'm a fan of the character and Will Tudor during Shadowhunters Season 2.) Lilith's arrival isn't only terrifying because of the prospect of resurrecting Sebastian; she's also a powerful demon. Magnus mentions in the trailer that Lilith is the "mother of all demons." Lilith is a danger to the world and could cause a lot of damage in her pursuit of bringing her son back. if you're still unsure, just look at the Shadowhunters' and Downworlders' expressions; they're worried. We see quick clips of Alec warning the others about the danger, as well as Magnus being knocked back into the air and Clary flexing her powers while being dragged. Are they fighting Lilith? Though, that could be the tip of the iceberg for their battle. A large winged-demon roars in the park and we see Clary pushing herself away! An important thing to note is the new premiere date of Shadowhunters Season 3. The original date had been set for April, but the date has moved up to March. Shadowhunters Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, March 20th on Freeform at 8/7c. Check out the full trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments. NBC Cheat Sheet: The Brave Will Not Survive

We are no well into 2018, and some shows are emerging as likely candidates to be canceled. The Brave, Taken and Great News have all been pulling in deplorable ratings for NBC, and will likely meet the TV Grim Reaper before the season is over. The Blacklist is not performing very well, but it's steady this season. NBC would be wise to keep it around for another year in the Wednesday 8/7c slot. Have a look at the predictions for your favorite NBC shows below. 1. This Is Us - Renewed This Is Us has remained a hit in Season 2. It is averaging 11.4 million viewers and a 3.2 rating. The series adds almost 100 percent to its demo tally with 7 days of DVR factored in. NBC was wise to give it a two-season renewal last fall. 2. Will & Grace - Renewed Bringing Will & Grace back was a no-brainer for NBC. It is currently averaging 6.2 million viewers and a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49. It leaps 80 percent with DVR factored in. It's no surprise that it's already renewed! 3. Chicago Med - Certain Renewal Chicago Med returned after an extended hiatus and is so far tracking higher than it was in Season 2. It is currently averaging 7 million viewers and a 1.3 rating. 4. Law & Order: SVU - Likely Renewal This veteran series is aging, but it is still averaging 6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. It still gets a boost with DVR ratings factored in. The only thing that will come between a renewal is rising costs. NBC will make it work as long as the cast is on board. 5. The Good Place - Renewed The Good Place is down slightly to 3.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. It gets a decent bump in DVR ratings, and NBC has already handed out a third season renewal. 6. Chicago Fire - Certain Renewal Chicago Fire has taken a hit this season. It is averaging 6.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. Those figures represent an erosion of around 20 percent. The show still secures gains of over 80 percent with 7 days of DVR factored in. It's safe. View Slideshow

Sabrina Casts Miranda Otto as Aunt Zelda!

Well, this is some excellent casting news! Australian actress Miranda Otto has landed the role of Zelda Spellman on Netflix's Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot. The character is described as follows: “Proud and devout, Zelda believes there is no greater honor than serving the Dark Lord as a member of the Church of Night." "She is the family’s disciplinarian, fiercely protective of Sabrina and very much Cain to Hilda’s Abel.” On the TV front, Otto most recently appeared in Fox's ill-fated 24: Legacy. That show was given the pink slip after one low-rated season. The new series is said to be a darker take on the franchise, which will be a complete 180 to the ABC/WB series which aired from 1996 to 2003. "The hourlong drama reimagines the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft, naturally," reads the official logline. Related: Riverdale Season 2 Episode 13 Review: The Tell-Tale Heart "The new iteration is described as in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist and finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit." Ever since it was announced that Kiernan Shipka would be playing Sabrina, the casting news as been coming at a breakneck pace. Late last week, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, and Lucy Davis landed roles as Ambrose Spellman, Mary Wardell and Aunt Hilda, respectively. Also, we also got our first look at Salem aka the talking cat, and he looks very similar to the way he did back in the day. The reboot landed at The CW last year, but Netflix swooped in and gave it a two-season, 20 episode order, and it made the move to the streaming giant. Related: Kiernan Shipka Cast as Sabrina! It was initially envisioned as a companion series to Riverdale, but there's still no confirmation whether both shows will exist in the same universe. What do you think about this latest casting news? Kevin (Probably) Saves the World Season 1 Episode 14 Review: Old Friends

What happened to Dave?! The declining health and human qualities overtaking the angelic ones were in full force on Kevin (Probably) Saves the World Season 1 Episode 14, and frankly, I'm concerned for our warriors of God. To make matters worse, Yvette is still insistent that she and Dave keep the truth from Kevin. Am I the only who didn't realize that Tyler and Kevin were friends their entire lives? It didn't come across that way when Kevin came back into town. It felt like they were acquaintances at best. It didn't even appear as if Tyler was in school with the twins and Nate around the same time. Perhaps that's an oversight on my part. I loved how their friendship quickly developed throughout the series, but it came as a surprise to me seeing flashbacks of 8-year-old and 19-year-old Tyler and Kevin interacting. I gather, by the hour's end, that was the point. It wasn't that Tyler and Kevin were never friends, it was that Kevin was never a very good one, to begin with. He was self-absorbed, and he took Tyler for granted for years. I'm not a good friend. I've taken you for granted for a long time. Kevin Permalink: I'm not a good friend. I've taken you for granted for a long time. Added: February 20, 2018 Tyler is such a sweet character. On the surface, it's easy to write him off as naive because of how happy-go-lucky he is, but he knew that ever since they were kids, Kevin was a crappy friend. The only reason he gravitated towards Kevin upon his return was that Tyler is a good-natured person--he picked up on the dark place Kevin was in initially, but he also was attuned to the progress Kevin was making (and has made). As tough as it was watching these two buddies be at odds, it was an important part of the show's narrative and Kevin's character development. It was an unbalanced relationship, and Tyler deserved better. I respect and love the fact that he stood firm in his stance until Kevin approached him the right way. So let me get this right, you want me to invade Tyler's privacy to show you moments you were too self-absorbed to notice the first time around? Yvette Permalink: So let me get this right, you want me to invade Tyler's privacy to show you moments you were... Added: February 20, 2018 Kevin went out of his way to win Tyler over with childish or impersonal gestures that came across as gimmicky and impersonal. The writing should have been on the wall for Kevin when he couldn't think of something that Tyler would like or a special memory that meant something to Tyler without manipulating Dave into helping him. In the end, all Tyler needed from Kevin was an acknowledgment that he was a crappy friend, not just that one time, but their entire lives, and he needed a promise that Kevin would do better. It was such a relief when Kevin finally admitted to all of that and the two made up. A smack on the lips and a be..

Jay Hernandez Lands Lead on Magnum P.I. Reboot

Jay Hernandez may not be known dazzling us with his sparkling white smile, but when he lets loose, he looks pretty darn good. Does it even matter? Just because Tom Selleck played Magnum P.I. years ago with a bit of humor and often flashed a grin, it doesn't mean the character in the upcoming CBS reboot will be anything like the original. But with all that success, why toy with something as simple as the comedic aspects that made a man who had been through hell and back loveable? Like all pilots, this one has been conceived to be diverse. In other words, it doesn't follow the same character structure as the original and all characters are open for reinterpretation. It was always the plan for the network to find a non-white actor the lead character of Thomas Magnum. Related: Charmed Reboot: Melonie Diaz Cast as Lead!!! The reboot follows Magnum (Hernandez), a decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. With help from fellow vets Theodore “TC” Calvin and Orville “Rick” Wright, as well as that of disavowed former MI:6 agent Juliet Higgins, Magnum takes on the cases no one else will, helping those who have no one else to turn to. Juliet Higgins is another character falling far from the original from the show. In the series' namesake, Higgins was a balding older man who often got under foot when dealing with Magnum. Their relationship seemed strained, but in reality there was nothing they wouldn't do for each other. How Juliet Higgins might be different in character as she is from being a female we'll have to wait to find out. The pilot will be set in Hawaii, with CBS remake-king Peter Lenkov (Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver) writing and executive producing alongside Eric Guggenheim. Action director Justin Lin will be at the helm. Lauren Cohan Joins ABC Drama Pilot – Is She Leaving The Walking Dead?

If Lauren Cohan appears on The Walking Dead Season 9, she may not be part of the main cast. Per Deadline, the popular actress has been cast as the female lead in Whiskey Cavalier, a new action-drama from Bill Lawrence and Dave Hemingson. Scandal veteran Scott Foley will appear in the series that follows a CIA agent who struggles in the aftermath of a shocking break-up. His luck changes when he is partnered with a new CIA operative. We must stress that the series is at pilot stage right now, there is a good possibility it will land on ABC's 2018-2019 schedule, and that would make Cohan's return to The Walking Dead difficult. We've known for a while now that Cohan's deal with the AMC hit is due to expire at the close of The Walking Dead Season 8. There's no confirmation as of yet what will become of Maggie Rhee. Deadline notes that should the ABC series go forward, there is a possibility that Cohan could ink a deal to return in a recurring capacity for The Walking Dead Season 9. If you watch The Walking Dead online, you will know that Maggie has taken on a leadership role of late, and has been instrumental in her team getting the upper hand in the war against the Saviors.
