Hulu's Veronica Mars revival has added another original cast member to its ranks.
According to TV Line, Max Greenfield will appear in multiple episodes of the forthcoming limited series.
Max played Leo D'Amato on 11 episodes during the show's original run and went on to appear in the 2014 movie.
It's unclear what brings him back into the fold, but given his connections to the police department, he will likely be an ally for Veronica as she attempts to solve a string of murders.
Greenfield joins a returning cast that includes Kristen Bell (Veronica), Enrico Colantoni (Keith) Jason Dohring (Logan), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Francis Capra (Weevil), Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas).
Meanwhile, Patton Oswalt has also landed a recurring role as Penn Epner, and loves his title as the "best pizza delivery guy in Neptune."
He is poised to ruffle some feathers as his obsession with unsolved-murder websites is poised to put him in Veronica's crosshairs.
"Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry," reads the official logline.
"After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach."
The Veronica Mars revival was confirmed back in September, and while the cast is certainly expansive, there's one big name still missing:
Tina recurred on the first two seasons of the show before being promoted to series regular ahead of the third season.
She also appeared in the 2014 movie. Given that production is underway, we're starting to worry that there will be no Mac.
