The Resident Season 2 Episode 8 Review: Heart In A Box

All the things were happening during that installment. But The Resident Season 2 Episode 8 confirmed that QuoVadis is shady AF, Gordan is the worst, and Julian didn't know about any of it. So basically, it left most of us enraged, but not surprised. The question for most of the season was whether or not Julian knew how shady Gordon was. It was hard to determine how much knowledge she had because she often came across manipulative, pushy, and opportunistic. Plus, Conrad didn't trust her at all. He still isn't digging her. When it comes to reading people, always trust the judgment of animals, kids, and Conrad Hawkins. He can't be right all of the time, but his hesitancy is at least enough to give you pause. Has your impression of Julian changed at all? She may be the whistle-blower who can expose Gordon and QuoVadis, which puts her on the right side of things, but she's still an annoying character. She's not a foe, but she isn't a friend either. She's an ally, at best. Devon, this doesn't have to be weird. We are completely capable of being friends. Julian Permalink: Devon, this doesn't have to be weird. We are completely capable of being friends. Added: November 19, 2018 Julian needs to learn how to follow her gut. She suspected something was off with Gordon, but she allowed him to tell her pretty words with his lying mouth of lies, and she was right back to being his most faithful advocate and foot soldier fighting for something with no information. It was infuriating. Any sympathy Julian gained would vanish when she pushed her agenda on Henry's mother or was condescending to the pediatrician. Did you catch how rude she was about him reading the information on the product? Julian didn't start questioning what was going on until after Henry had the VNS put in him. It was smart of Julian to head to the site so she could see their products for herself. It also felt like something she should have done a long time ago though. One couldn't help but shake their head as she replayed all the times Gordon lied while looking at them unpack all this stuff from freaking China and putting them in QuoVadis boxes. So much for making products themselves. Gordon is such a slimy, money hungry, despicable person. He's not even a good liar; everything about him is sleazy, so it's hard to believe anyone would buy into anything he says. Related: The Resident Season 2 Episode 7 Review: Trial & Error We're supposed to root for Julian at the moment. It's not lost on me that Devon's unsubstantiated faith in her being a decent person is what pushed her to investigate more than anything else. Seriously, he has known her all of ten minutes, so what made him confident in her abilities to "do the right thing?" Especially given their circumstances, but I digress. Gordon: Well done, Dr. Bell. Today is a good day both for Chastain and Quo Vadis. Bel..

Suits Gets 2019 Return Date, First Teaser

The firm is about to be litt up. USA Network revealed on Monday that Suits Season 8 will return to the air Wednesday, January 23 at 10/9c. Suits Season 8 Episode 10 concluded with Louis being elevated to the managing partner of the firm when it emerged that Robert and Harvey's bickering was causing more harm than good. While Louis was blindsided about the vote of confidence, the first teaser certainly shows him using all that power to his full advantage. “I had a nightmare last night that we made Louis managing partner,” Harvey says to Donna in one scene during the teaser. However, the biggest shocker is that Louis then utters the following to Harvey: “You’re a wild stallion, and I am not going to ride you hard.” As expected, Harvey does not feel comfortable with his new boss speaking to him in that manner. Everyone else who works at the firm is in for a rough time of it because Louis looks set to let everyone know he's the boss and it's his way or no way. The good news is returning earlier than usual. Fans were left on tenterhooks for the back half of Suits Season 7 until March earlier this year. Have a look at the full preview, and hit the comments with your thoughts on it. 27 TV Characters Who Would Host a Mean Thanksgiving Dinner

They say food is the way to a man's heart, but I'd say food is the way to anyone's heart. TV characters have been using their culinary skills to win me over for years now. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to reach into the screen and grab whatever dish they were cooking. Related: Get Hallmark Movies Now via Prime Video Channels for Stories with Heart, Captivating Movies & More! Food brings people together, and there's nothing like bonding over a good meal, especially during the holidays when everything revolves around dinner... and Black Friday shopping. If it's Thanksgiving, we want to be invited to the houses below. 1. Gabi Diamond - Young & Hungry Gabi Diamond is a spunky, ambitious and self-taught young chef who scores the gig of a lifetime whipping up meals for tech billionaire Josh Kaminski. There isn't a problem in Josh's life that Gabi can't fix with her Julia Child-inspired comfort food. On the Menu: Gabi's famous grilled cheese and stuffed mushrooms with garlic, eggplant, and fresh grated parmesan. 2. Monica Geller - Friends Chef Monica has scored the title "queen of Friendsgiving." Throughout the series’ ten season run, Monica has cooked up a storm, hosted plenty of parties and laid out massive holiday spreads. Sure, over the years, the sous chef improved the Thanksgiving menu, but we'd still gobble up the mac and cheese she made Chandler for their first Thanksgiving. On the Menu: Mac N Cheese, a variety of potatoes, mockolate deserts, roast turkey, stuffing, yams with marshmallows in concentric circles, cranberry sauce, "amazing" vegetarian stuffing and generous pours of red wine. 3. Sookie St. James - Gilmore Girls The Gilmore gals love to eat so it's a good thing they have Sookie around because she loves to cook. She's the executive chef at the Independence Inn and later, the co-owner and head chef at the Dragonfly Inn where she whips up mind-boggling food creations and even scraps and redoes whole menus at the last minute. On the Menu: Deep fried turkey with all the trimmings! 4. Red - OITNB Red, the Fiery Russian, runs the kitchen at Litchfield and doesn't let the fact that she's in prison or that she's scant on resources hinder her creativity in any way. Have you ever met anyone who tried to cook a full Thanksgiving meal on a tight budget? I'm talking $1.05 per prisoner. And she did it well. Just imagine what she could do with quality ingredients that she isn't growing out of the prison garden. On the Menu: Handmade creamy corn and leek quiche, golden corn on the cob from the garden, turkey and pumpkin pie. Sorry, no gravy. 5. Pacey Witter - Dawson's Creek Pacey is a chef at a fancy and pricey restaurant so he can cook up just about anything that your heart desires. And his meals tend to make things at the dinner table a little less awkward with every bite. On the Menu: A Thanksgiving Dinner that you&#0..

Riverdale Round Table: The Gryphons and Gargoyles Connection

Cheryl shot an arrow at an apple above Jughead's head, Elio and Veronica visited Archie's fight, and Joaquin stabbed Archie on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 5. Below, TV Fanatics Kat Pettibone, Brandon Vieira, and Becca Newton debate Betty and Veronica's escape plan, Gryphons and Gargoyles' new players, and the game's connection to the town of Riverdale. Veronica, Betty, and the group successfully broke Archie out of juvie. Share your thoughts about their big plan and execution. Kat: I thought the entire thing was excellent! Obviously, with Riverdale, you need to suspend your grip on reality for an hour every week, but once you do that, things get a lot more fun. I loved seeing the entire main cast working together (and getting screen time). Something I really feel this show misses the mark on is "character bonding." Most characters have one or two people they interact with, and it stops there. Seeing this Midnight Club 2.0 group band together and really be there for Archie? I loved it. Brandon: Who knew these kids had it in them? It was a pretty solid plan, and I'm a little surprised that it was Veronica and not Betty who came up with it. Although without Betty and Kevin, the plan wouldn't have worked. Archie: This is ... quite the spread, warden. [Archie picks up his utensils] Archie: All this after I tried to escape, how it makes me think that you’re not rewarding me. You’re getting rid of me. Warden: I’m afraid so. Your final meal before your final fight. You have powerful enemies, Archie. Archie: I appreciate you being honest with me, warden. Permalink: Your final meal before your final fight. Added: November 12, 2018 I believe this has been the first time during Riverdale Season 3 that Kevin and Betty interacted, which makes me happy because their friendship is my favorite thing on Riverdale. Also, Kevin in a Serpents jacket is something I didn't know I needed. I would love it if he reunited with Joaquin by the end of the season. I agree with Kat about the plan of bringing everyone together. I would love to see more stuff like this moving forward. It was great to see all the characters interacting. Becca: It was stylish, fun, and gave me some new favorite lines of Riverdale dialogue. I'm really glad Riverdale is injecting more fun into the episodes. I'd also like to echo how nice it is to see more camaraderie among the characters. Most of the time it doesn't seem like these teens are friends. To see the dynamics among them changing for the better is appreciated. Jughead hypothesized that Gryphons and Gargoyles was a representation of Riverdale and that the game connected to the town. Do you think his theory is accurate? Kat: Didn't the show kind of confirm he was accurate? To me, it seemed like he dove so deep into the mind of the Gargoyle King, he was able essentially to match him move for move. The quest he made for the Serpents was identical to what was ..
