Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 9 Review: Yasss, Queen

Holy mother of plot twists! Yes, I said plot TWISTS because there were plenty on Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 9. Unfortunately, they're never going to get resolved because NBC pulled the plug on what should have remained a summer show. What are the chances it gets picked up somewhere else? If it doesn't, the least NBC could do is give us a two-hour movie or one more episode to tidy things up. Why leave fans hanging? But then again, would I even tune in for another cheesy Midnight, Texas adventure? Related: Midnight, Texas and Marlon Canceled at NBC Would you? I wasn't fully expecting Manfred to be dead dead since Francois Arnoud is/was the star of the show, but Kai using magic to transform into our hero was a huge surprise I didn't see coming. I still don't understand how Kai could be so stupid regarding Patience, but I guess when you're desperately in love you fail to see the obvious. Kai had a fitting end not only sacrificing himself for Midnight, but also getting a chance to say goodbye to Manfred before heading off to the next world. If things had turned out differently, Kai would have made a great addition to the Midnight team. He's a much better fit than Walker. His romance with Joe would have had a hard time flourishing considering Joe took off to find himself and God, but I suppose at some point they would have circled back to each other. It's odd that Joe went from being in love with a demon to being in love with a demon hunter, but theirs is not a story I cared too much about at any level. Olivia turning into a vampire was a whopper, and the idea of her and Lem truly living happily ever after forever and ever is something that sets my soul afire. I love those two to no end. Maybe we can get a Lem and Olivia spinoff? Now that she's back to being her badass self, can you imagine how badass she'll be as a vamp? Like Kai, she made a sacrifice to protect her friends and her town, but I think deep down she was always considering turning into a vampire just because of how much she loved Lem. The only way she was going to be able to be with him forever was to become like him since she wasn't too keen on him turning back into human form. I liked Lem as a human, but he was pretty much worthless to the team without his powers. The biggest non-surprise was Fiji being pregnant. The minute Bobo made a deal with the Trickster, I knew she was pregnant. Still, how the story unfolded for Fiji to turn back to her old self was decent enough. Related: Get Starz via Prime Video Channels for Captivating Original Series & Hit Movies! I still like her best as evil Fiji and loved how she laughed in Bobo's face when he thought she finally saw reason, but I wasn't a big fan of her and Patience as a team. Patience was complet..

27 Internet Girlfriends You Should Still Be Crushing On

The internet may have plenty of well-known boyfriends, but that doesn't mean there aren't just as many ladies that are getting the love and appreciation that they deserve. There is also the wonderful added bonus of the loyalty that comes with coining a character the internet's TV girlfriend. Not only have we supported them over the years, but we are also still in their corners, learning from them as much time as we spent hoping they got good storylines and well thought out development. Related: 27 Internet Boyfriends You Should Still Be Crushing On Obviously not every choice pertains to everyone, which is why we've collected both well known and underrated choices, all of which spread throughout currently airing shows or TV shows that are much more nostalgic now. Which TV girlfriend do you think the internet needs to still be crushing on right now? 1. Lexa - The 100 This can't be shocking to anyone, with Lexa's fans becoming the literal definition for loyal. Lexa made a huge impact, with her presence still felt during The 100 Season 5, and yet it is possible that she made an even bigger one off screen. Lexa offered queer fans the chance to see themselves in a powerful human on their TV screens, a necessary shift in the way that the media approached representation as well. 2. Lara Jean Covey - To All The Boys I've Loved Before We were so lucky to have Lara Jean in our lives this year, so much so that it is likely that we would fight Peter Kavinsky for the chance to spend more time with her. It doesn't have to come to that though, with news of a second installment of To All The Boys I've Loved Before officially ordered by Netflix. 3. Prudence - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina The least shocking thing about Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1 was the way that we all fell for Prudence. Tati Gabrielle is a gift to our favorite TV shows, and it seems like this is only the beginning for us. 4. Adena El-Amin - The Bold Type Adena became a fan favorite long before anyone realized exactly the impact that she would have both on fans and on her girlfriend Kat. But The Bold Type Season 2 took Adena on a weird road, so now everyone has come together to wait out her return to the show and to her own story. 5. Clarke Griffin - The 100 Clarke Griffin is the fight that we all find within ourselves, except she is proof of the strength that keeps us all going. She also happens to be an imperfect character, like most characters end up being on The 100, and yet there is nothing we wouldn't forgive her for because she has our entire heart. She has been through so much and has so much more headed her way, always making us want to protect her from everything the show throws at her. 6. Anissa Pierce - Black Lightning There is a lot more that we will get to see from Anissa, but she has already left a mark on The CW and in our hearts. She is an extraordinary superhero, who deserves way more love than she is recei..

27 Most Annoying TV Characters of 2018

Not every character can leave us feeling as sweet as sugar. Sometimes they irritate us, annoy us, or have us scratching our heads over the confusing moves they just made. For every character we absolutely loved or 'ship we wanted to see set sail, there was a character or two who rubbed us the wrong way. This 2018 list is for them. Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video. WATCH ANYWHERE. CANCEL ANYTIME! Below, we've picked out 27 characters across sitcoms, soapy dramas, and everything in between who brought on the fury. Each one left their marks for all the wrong reasons. So, let's boil some tea, grab some salty chips, and check out the options below! Did yours make the list? Share in the comments below. 1. Archie Andrews - Riverdale The boy-next-door of our dreams was more like a nightmare during 2018. Archie had a terrible case of making one bad decision after another, especially while working for Hiram and during his pursuit of The Black Hood. And, what's worse was that he never truly learned from his mistakes. Whenever we thought Archie got back on track, he fell back into bad habits. Seriously Archie, will you ever change? 2. Cristal Jennings - Dynasty You can easily tell a character is annoying fans when a nickname is made like "The New Cristal" to show their frustration. Cristal isn't a terrible character, but how she was introduced/created served her no favors. The future Mrs. Carrington seems like a carbon copy of the former character of the same name; she's merely meant to fill the spot of Nathalie Kelley when she left the show. It's hard living up to a dynamic character when the new one serves no purpose. 3. Delilah Dixon - A Million Little Things There's a difference between cool/calm and being ... Delilah. After a tragic moment like her husband committing suicide, shouldn't she be more concerned or affected by the loss? Delilah has shown little interest in her husband's death or the reason for why he did it. She has been wrapped up more in her affair and thinking about herself than the gravity of the situation. 4. Morgan Reznick - The Good Doctor Dr. Morgan Reznick loves to speak her mind and tell the truth, but her #nofilter has seriously rubbed people the wrong way. Her words to her fellow colleagues cross into being crass and rude on many occasions, with her focusing her attention on Claire and Shaun more so than the others. None of this acceptable, especially in the workplace. 5. Marcus Pierce - Lucifer Marcus' likability lasted as long as his true identity stayed a mystery. Once we discovered he was Cain, his character took a trip on a roller coaster of strange plot points. He wanted to die, he dated Chloe, he fake married Lucifer, and so on! Marcus had so much potential to be a great character (and that's probably what is the most annoying thing about him). 6. Lizzie Saltzman - Legacies Lizzie is the Regin..

The 100: 39 Softest Bellamy and Clarke Moments

Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin's relationship, whether enemies or friends or platonic soulmates, is the essence of The 100 and what it finds itself most rooted in. And for a pairing that out of context looks explicitly romantic, Bellarke manage to turn even the most innocent of scenes into something deeply emotional and soft. That could explain why this relationship has such a big following, with many fans connecting with the healthy connection between the two that is always developing. Related: 10 Most Important Episodes For Bellamy and Clarke's Partnership There is a reason why The 100 always finds its stride when they have Bellamy and Clarke working together, even if they aren't always subtle about how ridiculous those two are and that is before they even started dating. It just made sense to dedicate a slideshow exclusively to some of the most heartwarming and truly soft scenes between the two, with the abundance of them serving as another reminder that Bellamy and Clarke just make sense. Which Bellarke moment from all five seasons do you consider the softest? What are you most excited to see between them during The 100 Season 6? 1. Clarke and Bellamy's Moment of Peace On "Pandora's Box" No thoughts could do a scene like this any justice. Bellamy and Clarke finding a place of comfort and happiness with one another is what most relationships dream of having. Any moment that they share together is electric, beautiful, and warm because of how much they love one another. To call them soulmates is almost not an adequate enough explanation for what they mean to each other, and to us. 2. All The "Praimfaya" Inspired Bellarke Touching These two could not keep their hands off one another, and none of us could blame them. In fact, they should have hugged and touched even more because those six years didn't prepare anyone. 3. Bellamy Trying To Take His Shoot On "We Will Rise" There is a part of me that will never forgive Clarke for not letting Bellamy get out what he wanted to tell her before the world ended. There is another part of me that knows exactly what Bellamy was going to say and being enormously proud of him for getting the courage to do it. 4. Bellamy and Clarke's Soft Separation During "Blood Must Have Blood, Part Two" If you can't even face one another while saying goodbye to each other, maybe you shouldn't be saying goodbye? Just a thought. But also, that cheek kiss was the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of everything ever. 5. Bellamy and Clarke Taking Advantage of a "Day Trip" Does anyone else hear the song "I Believe In Miracles" right about now? It can't only be me. Maybe Bellamy heard it too when it got all comfy and close during the romantic gun training session. 6. Bellamy and Clarke Being Soft and Precious During "Damocles – Part Two" There are no words left for Bellamy being rolled out for Clarke in her time of need. Then they both said hi to each othe..

21 Shows with Unbelievable Off-Screen Drama In 2018

Television drama does not always unfold on screen. There are plenty of times where a TV show has more drama off screen than on. Each year is full of television shows making headlines for off-screen drama, and 2018 was no exception. In fact, some people know more about what is going on with a show behind the scenes than on the show’s actual plotlines. Related: Get CBS All Access via Prime Video Channels for Hit Shows, Exclusive Originals, & Live TV! Cast members clashing, racist Tweets, harassment allegations, fat-shaming, sudden exits, and reboot backlash are only a few of the off-screen drama that was in the spotlight this past year. And now our list of Shows with Unbelievable Off-Screen Drama in 2018! After you scroll the list be sure to share your thoughts with us in the comments section. 1. Roseanne Roseanne Barr’s racist Tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former senior advisor to President Barack Obama, caused the hit show to be abruptly canceled last May. The Connors spin-off was announced a month later, without Barr. Fans were outraged when the character of Roseanne was killed off by an opioid overdose. Although the ratings for The Connors have not been as successful as the Roseanne revival, it is still considered a hit for ABC. 2. Lethal Weapon Last spring after reports of Clayne Crawford’s on-set anger issues surfaced, Warner Brothers fired him. Both Crawford and co-star Damon Wayans later spoke out about their hostile working relationship. There is no love lost between these two men. Instead of canceling the show, Warner Brothers brought in Sean Williams Scott to play opposite Wayans, in the new role of Wesley Cole. A week after the premiere of Season 3, Wayans announced he was leaving the show at the end of the current season. 3. Grey’s Anatomy The news that Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw’s characters would exit at the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 14 caused an uproar among fans. Showrunner Krista Vernoff explained letting the women go was strictly for storyline reasons. However, her explanation did not sit well with fans. They blamed Ellen Pompeo's hefty $20 million a year salary for as the real reason Drew and Capshaw were let go from the show. 4. NCIS Not long after original cast member Pauley Perrette's final episode, the actress took to Twitter to share why she chose to leave. Perrette did not name specific people, but she revealed the show was run by a “machine” that she referenced as "him." She also alluded to being physically attacked on set. CBS later confirmed that the previous year, Perrette came to them with a workplace concern. Rumors began circulating that the actress was speaking about actor Mark Harmon in her Tweets. 5. The Ranch Danny Masterson’s firing from The Ranch has been front and center this entire year. Fans were outraged he was let go and vowed to boycott the show. Those who support his rape accusers bashed Netflix for airing episodes that featured the actor. Despite all the drama, The Ranch..

17 ‘Ships That Need to Sail in 2019

Two thousand eighteen has been an eventful year for some of our favorite television 'ships. Some sailed, some sunk, and others are just stuck in a weird limbo. Rooting for a couple may get exhausting, but when you're devoted, there's no giving up. When the year comes to a close, and your favorite 'ship still isn't together, all you can do is pray that next year will finally be their time to shine. Related: 29 TV Deaths That Gutted Us in 2018 Honestly, it's too hard to face the alternative. Now that we've reached the end of 2018, we've listed 17 'ships that need to sail during the new year! 1. Mina and AJ - The Resident Mina and AJ have so much chemistry and have since they first met her at the hospital. She's one of the few people who can handle him and wrangle the Raptor because he listens to her, and he brings out other sides to her -- softer sides. They learn a great deal from one another, have the funniest banter ever, and they would be so good together. 2. Ryn and Maddie - Siren It's impossible not to see the chemistry between these two. While we're not sure whether the show features an actual love triangle or just a love fest, Ryn and Maddie's relationship manages to stand out. 3. Martin and Lena - Splitting Up Together While the entire premise of the show hinges on this lovable divorced couple being, well, divorced, they need to give it up and realize that they belong with each other. No one can put up with their quirks like the other. They're too cute together to be apart. 4. Simon and Isabelle - Shadowhunters Slow and steady wins the race. Isabelle and Simon's relationship is built on a strong supportive friendship and we can't wait to see it finally blossom into something more next year. Season 3B better bring us as much Sizzy content as possible. 5. April and Ethan - Chicago Med Even though they broke up last year, it's clear they still love each other. Honestly, they're just good together. Despite being back with his ex-girlfriend Vicky, she just doesn't love him the way April does. 6. Betty and Archie - Riverdale Betty and Archie belong together, plain and simple. Their chemistry is off the charts, and their scenes honestly have more love and emotion in them then all of the other ships combined. These two need to at least give things a shot in 2019. 13 Stuttering Shows That Made A Comeback In 2018

It's happened to all TV viewers. A series that had captured our attention over time loses a certain something. Then, somehow, things turn around. It might because of a different narrative direction. Or a new actor. Or a cast that just gels. Related: 21 TV Series That Should Have Called It Quits You can't always put your finger on why. It somehow works again. Check out the shows below and see if your most-improved series is here. If not, feel free to add it in the comments. 1. American Horror Story It works for reality shows. So why not do a greatest-hits mashup for an anthology series? The last few seasons of AHS have been a roller coaster. Cult was mediocre at times and dull. Apocalypse made up for that lackluster season with the return of several amazing characters from Coven and Murder House. Sarah Paulson ended up playing three characters all by herself. The pacing picked up, the story was interesting again, and it breathed new life into the series. 2. Arrow Arrow Season 6 was probably one of the shows worst seasons the show had, so it's been such a fun surprise to see Arrow Season 7 thrive the way it has. It feels as if the show hit a reboot button almost because many elements that made Arrow so special in the beginning were brought back. Oliver's prison storyline was fantastic and the Felicity and Laurel dynamic has been a breath of fresh air. 3. Big Brother Big Brother Season 20 made up for the complete and utter mess that was Big Brother Season 19. Instead of Coasters and Floaters that made up the BB19 cast, the batch of house guests in BB20 came to play and they were so likable/fun. Plus, the drama heightened week to week with blindside after blindside. Big Brother Season 20 was one of the best seasons of Big Brother to come along in five-plus years, and it got fans who gave up on the series to become invested again. 4. Black-ish Black-ish Season 4 was too much dramedy. It got bogged down with the tensions between Andre and Bo which then got suddenly pulled back from the brink with her father's death. Maybe the writers were distracted by the grown-ish spinoff. Black-ish Season 5 has regained its pacing and Junior's "gap" year has been a hilarious storyline. 5. Daredevil Daredevil Season 3 was by far the best one of the series. Daredevil Season 2 was the weakest and focused too much on Elektra and the Hand. Neither were as interesting as Wilson Fisk and bringing him back for Daredevil Season 3 was a great call. The story was gripping from beginning to end and the actors put in some of their best work. So why did Netflix cancel it, and will it return in another form? 6. The Flash After two subpar seasons, the series came back with a fantastic The Flash Season 5, rebooting a bit by having Barry and Iris's daughter Nora West-Allen come back from the future, and resurrecting its amazing The Flash Season 1 villain, with Tom Cavanaugh playing several versions of Harrison Wells. There was no Kid Flas..

23 ‘Ships Of 2018 That Need To Crash

Another batch of 12 months has elapsed once again and, along with a lot of other things, there are a few relationships on TV birthed at some point this year that we desperately want to see expire along with the year 2018. Everyone enjoys a good love story, at whatever stage it is, but there are some couples who have done their best to make watching them and following their romance a painful experience, much less rooting for them. Not all on this list were that bad, some of them made the cut for vastly different reasons. Related: Get CBS All Access via Prime Video Channels for Hit Shows, Exclusive Originals & Live TV! Basically, this is our hit list of the 'ships we'd wish out of existence if we had a magic wand that bestowed reality-altering powers. So, here is our shortlist comprised of both fledgling and established 'Ships of 2018 we'd love to see wrecked. As always, don't forget to chime in with your choice lovebirds of the year that you'd rather see apart than together. 1. Nick and Kayla (Tell me A Story) Another case in a long line of others that romanticize Student/Teacher relationships. Yes, they have chemistry and, yes, they are ridiculously attractive, but we don't want to see any more of that simply because the power dynamic is so lopsided, and the relationship predatory. He is literally the Wolf to her Little Red Riding Hood. Kayla probably needs to start dating guys her age, and Nick should find someone appropriate to have shower sex with. 2. Bellamy and Echo (The 100) This relationship was clearly borne out of their prolonged confinement in space, and the inevitable dearth of dating options that followed. Bellamy couldn't stand Echo when they left, what with her murdering his girlfriend, and then trying to murder his sister and whatnot. However, the next time we see them in a scene together he's jamming his tongue down her throat. The time jump didn't help, but they never bothered showing us why we should care about them after the fact. If the whole point of pairing them up is for the shock value alone, then they definitely succeeded because they had a lot of people reaching for a bucket to throw up in. 3. Will and Natalie (Chicago Med) How did this relationship survive so long that they're planning on getting married? They're constantly at each other's throats over the most trivial things, and we've rarely seen them as a genuinely happy couple anywhere that isn't a hospital. Thankfully, Will was whisked away and put in witness protection before the wedding could happen, and hopefully, it never does. This may be wishful thinking, but if cupid truly has everyone's best interest at heart, he'll pump so many of his arrows into them once again, and point them in the direction of different people. 4. John and Clarice (The Gifted) It was only a season ago that these two had such sizzling chemistry but for reasons, it's all gone now. We&#039..

15 Bromances That Turned Deadly

Romantic relationships are great and all, but there's something uniquely special about a bond between two guys. Officially, it's called a bromance. Gaining the classification involves more than a few fist-bumps and shared beers, however. Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video. WATCH ANYWHERE. CANCEL ANYTIME! When two dudes "click," they become emotionally vulnerable with each other. It's an unspoken understanding. When they go on adventures together, spend all their time together, share secrets, and eventually, better each other, only then do they earn the coveted title and become serious friendship goals. Sadly, oftentimes, a bromance is broken up by an unexpected death that is extremely painful. We're looking at some of our favorite TV bromances that took a deadly turn. Some were mere accidents, some motivated while other deaths involved one party making the ultimate sacrifice for the other. 1. Olinksy & Voight -- Chicago PD Olinksy was so loyal to his friend, boss, and partner-in-crime Voight, that he helped him bury a dead body and took the fall to keep him out of prison. Sadly, his loyalty was eventually his undoing. Before Voight could arrange for his freedom, Olinksy was stabbed to death in his prison cell. 2. Marcel & Josh -- The Originals Marcel was the fearless vampire leader while Josh served as his side-kick before filling in and leading his people when Marcel skipped town. Sadly, when a feud between the factions broke out, Josh became a victim of Nazi-vampires and died in Marcel's arms. I'm not crying, you're crying. 3. Damon & Stefan -- The Vampire Diaries Damon and Stefan had a love-hate relationship. Their brotherly bond strengthened as time went on though Stefan would do anything to keep his brother happy. Eventually, he sacrificed himself so that his brother would be reunited with the woman they both loved, Elena, and Mystic Falls would be saved from Hell Fire. What a good dude. 4. Keith & Dan - One Tree Hill Keith and Dan were brothers with a very turbulent relationship and remained estranged for much of the series. Dan blamed his older brother for a lot of things, including the dealership fire that almost killed him. In retaliation, he shot and killed the beloved Uncle Keith in the high school hallway. 5. Klaus & Elijah -- The Originals Klaus and Elijah's co-dependency was borderline unhealthy. Klaus relied on Elijah for everything and in turn, Elijah was always there for him because of the guilt he felt. One could not live without the other so when Klaus decided to die to save Hope from the darkness, Elijah was right by his side. 6. Hank & Walt -- Breaking Bad The DEA agent was put into a tough spot when his brother-in-law became a meth kingpin. Walt did everything he possibly could to convince Jack not to kill Hank, but alas, it was too late, and Walt just had to watch the murder go down in the desert. View Slidesho..
