Dynasty Season 2 Episode 7 Review: A Temporary Infestation

Dynasty has been really gaining steam lately, so I was really disappointed that Dynasty Season 2 Episode 7 turned out to be a more of a filler episode. Looking back at it, we didn't learn anything new or exciting. It was just there. Especially following the eventful Thanksgiving themed Dynasty Season 2 Episode 6! Blake announced his engagement to replacement Cristal after just a few days of knowing her so naturally, the feud between Cristal and Alexis came to a head. How are these kids not tired of getting a new "step-mom" every year? Alexis believes psychic Adrianna's prediction that she's meant to be with Blake which explains why she needs to remove Cristal, who is, in her mind, the only obstacle. But even after Cristal brilliantly outsmarted Alexis and proved that she could go toe-to-toe with her, I still failed to see any value in her character. Why bring new Cristal on board at all? Is she really just there to fill a void in the cast left behind by Celia? And doesn't Alexis know that you should never trust Google Translate for accurate translations? Fallon: Jeff! You're an objective third party. Where do you stand on Whitney covers? Jeff: Is this a trap? Permalink: Is this a trap? Added: November 30, 2018 There was a major change in Cristal's appearance following the engagement. She looked more stylish; her hair, her outfits, even her demeanor, was more luxurious. However, that doesn't mask that she's not telling the whole truth about wanting to become a part of this family. And honestly, based on Blake's behavior, he also has ulterior motives. Again, I'm not sure what either of them is trying to accomplish, but I don't think any of this is about romantic love. Since their only connection is Celia, maybe it has to do something with her? Maybe she promised Celia that she would make Alexis' life a living hell if she ever passed? Regardless, it's getting pretty redundant to have Alexis hate every woman that comes near Blake because she has some warped idea that they are supposed to get back together. Can you say bitter ex? Alexis needs a hobby, stat. Alexis figured out a solution for the baby Hank left at her trailer doorstep fairly quickly, but we knew that's where the story was headed. Sammy expressed his desire for a child early on in Dynasty Season 2, so there was no doubt that he would take little Blake under his wing. The name, however, is a bit questionable. As is Sammy's attachment to the child. If Child Protective Services was called, why would Sammy assume that they'd allow him to become this child's permanent parent? And really, why would Anders encourage the behavior by assisting in the nanny search? Related: Dynasty Season 2 Episode 6 Review: That Witch Admittedly, Sammy and Kir..

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 Episode 7 Review: I Will Help You

Telling the truth will set you free. It will also possibly lead you back into a familiar love triangle, or possibly love square if our instincts are strong enough. During Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 Episode 7, Rebecca goes to New York to celebrate her mother at an event while taking on a more honest approach about her life. In the meantime, Josh crashes at her house and gets a crash course in being an adult. And Paula fills in for Rebecca at the prison, with a surprising team up with Nathaniel in the process. Josh and Nathaniel growing as people becomes a trigger for Rebecca's old fond memories of them. She ends up conflicted on possible resurfaced feelings for two of her ex-boyfriends, which sounds like the perfect time to bring Greg back again. "I Will Help You," written by Aline Brosh McKenna was a refreshing walk down memory lane, mostly because it served as a wonderful reminder about how far many characters have come. Rebecca's biggest issue was her relationship with the truth, and she managed to strike a good balance by revisiting the past. There was that big focus on the development that the characters have gone through, which sets up the scene for a familiar face to come back. Can you tell how long I've been waiting for that seamless Greg return? Related: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 Episode 6 Review Rebecca and Naomi Dance Around The Truth It is traumatic for Rebecca every time she sees her mother, but you can't deny that Naomi is a scene-stealing character. Her music number was all kinds of epic, and she always leaves a relatable lasting impression. But she also has reached a point where her treatment of Rebecca isn't in any way acceptable anymore. It was disturbing that Naomi knew that Rebecca tried to kill herself and went to prison, but never reached out. What? You think I don’t have a google alert for Rebecca Bunch? You think that I’m not reading the comments section of the Daily Covina? Naomi Permalink: What? You think I don’t have a google alert for Rebecca Bunch? You think that I’m not reading... Added: November 30, 2018 She could have visited Rebecca in the hospital or reached out when she was in jail. In fact, it is horrible that she didn't do anything to help all that time when she knew as things were happening to her daughter. And while she feels that same pressure to lie to the people around her, her treatment of Rebecca is unforgiving at this point. Allowing Rebecca to revisit that part of her life with a healthier outlook gave her the strength she needed to finally stand up to her mother, something that had to happen before the series was over. But it was crucial for her to also realize that honesty has a limit. Using your mugshot as a profile picture is going way too far, especially if you are trying to attract a normal group of men to date. There is no reason to hide your past but maybe wait for the second date to bring up that you were in pris..

Blue Bloods Season 9 Episode 9 Review: Handcuffs

A no-win situation for Eddie and her partner quickly escalated into a case of shock and awe on Blue Bloods Season 9 Episode 9. The whole incident left me pondering if Frank was right, wrong, or just turning into a grumpy old man? Eddie and the other police walked away when a bunch of thugs taunted them and I agreed with Eddie's perspective on the situation... They wanted us to engage, begging us to take the bait. We felt the smartest move was to just ignore them. Eddie Permalink: They wanted us to engage, begging us to take the bait. We felt the smartest move was to just... Added: November 30, 2018 Jamie told her they could have written summonses or put the guys in cuffs, and they could have, but what would have been the point? At best these guys would have been back out on the street in a matter of hours. Worst case scenario a bigger crowd gets involved and you've got a riot that started over a couple of insults. If you're going to arrest every loud-mouth idiot who challenges the police, you're going to run out of cells really fast. Related: Get CBS All Access via Prime Video Channels for Hit Shows, Exclusive Originals & Live TV! Frank didn't see it that way, and neither did Sid nor Abigail but would they have been so upset if the incident wasn't made public via the video? Cops are frequently being called out for using too much force, and sometimes rightfully so, but in this case, they were getting flack for using too little. They're asked to use their brains instead of their brawn but then they're told they look weak. Talk about a lose-lose situation. I didn't like the way Frank handled things. I wouldn't have been against the raids if they were prompted by intelligence on gang activity or stats about increased crime in the complex, but that wasn't the case here. Frank called these raids, complete with air support and ESU Bearcats, because he felt his cops were made to look weak to the public, and that just came across as petty and vindictive. I can't say they didn't yield results. They caught a wanted serial killer and I'm sure several other criminals but I'm still not convinced that this overwhelming show of force was warranted. And although we were shown the short term, positive results, the long-term consequences were yet to be seen and I'm doubtful we'll ever hear about them. Elsewhere, Nicky brought her new boyfriend to meet Erin which led to my favorite Blue Bloods quote of the episode... Nicky and Nicky, isn’t that so cute? I wanted to gouge my eye out with a fork. Erin Permalink: Nicky and Nicky, isn’t that so cute? I wanted to gouge my eye out with a fork. Added: November 30, 2018 I couldn't have agreed with Erin more. I loved that Erin had Anthony to talk to about this and how calm he was about it. In ten more years, that eight-year age difference wouldn't mean very much but the differ..
