Vikings Season 5 Episode 14 Review: The Lost Moment

The Seer has left this world, but not without imparting on us one last cryptic message. Besides basically telling Ivar that he is in fact not a god, he told Hvitserk that he is going to accomplish something others before have failed to do. So, what could that be? Now that Ivar has murdered the Seer on Vikings Season 5 Episode 14, we are left to wonder what Hvitserk is meant to do. I'll be honest, I thought there was a chance that Hvitserk might actually be the one wearing that hood. He wasn't. Instead, the sacrifice was just some random girl, and that was a little bit of a letdown. Related: Vikings Season 5 Episode 13 Review: A New God But the fact that Hvitserk lived is not. Now that he's finally standing up to Ivar, he's becoming interesting. This prophecy adds another layer on top of that. I'm intrigued. Hvitserk is the one brother we've yet to see really do anything other than follow Ivar blindly. He's growing a backbone and I'm starting to root for him. It's finally Hvitserk's time to shine! Hvitserk: So tell me, what am I here for? Seer: You will accomplish what others before you have failed to accomplish, but the cost will be too high. Permalink: You will accomplish what others before you have failed to accomplish, but the cost will be... Added: December 17, 2018 Ivar is quickly losing my interest. He's letting all this new power go to his head, and he's becoming more and more unhinged which each passing day. The guy has always been crazy, but he's also a brilliant strategist who's always one step ahead of everyone else. Where is that guy? Now that he has everything he wants he's basically turned into the stereotypical king who sits on his throne drinking all day and ordering people around. Yes, he's still horrible and shows no mercy, but he's always been that way, and he's starting to get boring. We need a new element to Ivar. He killed the Seer out of blind rage because he wasn't hearing what he wanted. It was as impulsive as his murder of Sigurd. He grew into a cold, manipulative warrior and now he's regressing. Maybe we just need to see him challenged again. He won the throne, now let's see how he defends it. It's only a matter of time before Harald or someone else attempts to take it from him. There's a good chance she'll betray him now that he's let his guard down. Ivar doesn't give his trust easily. If it's betrayed, we might see another level of his ruthlessness. We may be on our way to another brother civil war between Bjorn and Ubbe. The two are completely at odds, and Bjorn is allowing himself to be manipulated by Magnus. The Walking Dead First Look: Samantha Morton Dials Up the Fear Factor as Alpha!

The Whisperers may have already claimed their first victim, but we're beginning to think all of our heroes are in danger. AMC on Wednesday dropped new key art for the second half of The Walking Dead Season 9, and it gives us our biggest look yet at the leader of the new villains. Alpha is the new person who will be trying to make our beloved survivors drop like flies, and if her zombie get-up alone is to be believed, she's going to be a deadly new addition. Have a look below. The second half of The Walking Dead Season 9 “finds our groups of survivors… in undeniable danger," according to AMC. "They will soon realize the world just beyond does not operate as they thought… A whole new threat has crossed their paths, and they soon discover it’s unlike any threat they have encountered or endured before.” Related: The Walking Dead: AMC Greenlights Three Movies Samantha Morton (Harlots) was recently cast in the series in the role of Alpha, and we must say, the make-up and costumes are pretty darn awesome for her character. The Walking Dead closed out its fall run with The Whisperers claiming their first victim. That victim was none other than Jesus. It presented another big blow to the fans who have long complained about the series deviating from the comic books. It's unclear whether the deviations will continue to pile up or if the show will become a more faithful adaptation of its source material. Related: The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 5 Review: What Comes After What we do know is that Rick Grimes has left the building. Andrew Lincoln's alter ego left the series after everyone assumed he died blowing up a bridge to save everyone from a herd of zombies. However, viewers know that Jadis (Pollyanna Mcintosh) took him away on a helicopter, presumably to safety. While the TV show may never see Rick Grimes again, the character will live on thanks to a trilogy of movies AMC has ordered. What are your thoughts on the new key art? Hit the comments below. Eliza Dushku Slams CBS, Michael Weatherly for Alleged Harassment on Bull

Eliza Dushku has broken her silence on about what went down behind the scenes of CBS' Bull. The actress opened up about the situation via an op-ed in Wednesday's Boston Globe, saying that the job was “one of the most cruel, most aggressive humiliations I have ever experienced.” The actress went on to state that the environment on the set was not healthy, and that she was fired shortly after complaining about co-star Michael Weatherly. Details about a $9.5 million settlement came to light last week in a New York Times article into what went down on the set, but Dushku decided against taking part in the interview. The reason she has now given is “because I wanted to honor the terms of my settlement with the network." "I was under the impression that Weatherly and [Bull showrunner Glen Gordon] Caron would also not respond per our settlement." Related: Bull Shocker: Michael Weatherly Apologizes for Eliza Dushku Sexual Harassment "Instead, all commented to the Times in what amounted to more deflection, denial, and spin.” It sure sounds like the terms of the settlement are that no party was meant to go public about what happened, and the way Dushku shared a link to the article is rather telling. "Thank you for giving me my voice back," Eliza tweeted alongside the article. The original story in the New York Times detailed some of the issues Eliza encountered while on the set. From comments like "here comes legs" to Weatherly joking about bending her over and spanking her for messing up a line, it's not easy to see why Eliza opted to complain. Dushku also alleged that Weatherly made fun of previous sexual harassment training and that he even went as far as turning members of the crew against her. Eliza did state per the article that she attempted to speak to Weatherly about changing the atmosphere on the set, but says that he text showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron to remove her from the series because she had a "humor deficit." "For the record, I grew up in Boston with three older brothers and have generally been considered a tomboy," the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum said. "I made a name for myself playing a badass vampire slayer turned tough LA cheerleader; I have worked with numerous leading men, including Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio, even CBS’s own David Boreanaz," she continued. "I can handle a locker room. I have been on Howard Stern and was hired by Kevin Smith for a film where I wore a black leather cat suit and played a member of an international diamond-thief-gang-ring." "I do not want to hear that I have a “humor deficit” or can’t take a joke. I did not over-react. I took a job and, because I did not want to be harassed, I was fired." “During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script," Weatherly said when the NYT article dropped. "When Eliza told me that she wasn’t comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to ha..

Catch-22: First Look at Hulu’s Limited Series!!

Joseph Heller wrote some of the best novels of the 20th Century. Among them was Catch-22; a novel so good it changed the vernacular of the English language. Related: Veronica Mars: J.K. Simmons Lands Recurring Role! Once a movie that was not well-received nor a critical success but went on to be a cult classic, Hulu is now adapting the written words for a six-part limited series from brilliant minds of our generation and starring some of the most captivating stars, as well. Get your first look at the upcoming series below. If the production itself is anywhere near as spectacular as the book and the photography combined, we're in for one heck of a treat. 1. Kyle Chandler as Colonel Cathcart Kyle Chandler will play Colonel Cathcart in the upcoming limited series Catch-22 on Hulu. 2. Delivering Tomatoes Catch-22 is executive produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov on behalf of Smokehouse Pictures, along with Richard Brown and Steve Golin on behalf of Anonymous Content. Luke Davies and David Michôd are co-writers and executive producers for the series. 3. A Group of Soldiers Based on Joseph Heller’s seminal novel of the same name, Catch-22 is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), a US Air Force bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. 4. Christopher Abbott as Yossarian Yossarian's real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. 5. Yossarian Out of Uniform Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he’ll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty. 6. Yossarian in a Tree The cast includes Christopher Abbott (Yossarian), Kyle Chandler (Colonel Cathcart), George Clooney (Scheisskopf), Hugh Laurie (Major de Coverley), Giancarlo Giannini (Marcello) and Daniel David Stewart (Milo), Rafi Gavron (Aarfy), Austin Stowell (Nately), Graham Patrick Martin (Orr), Gerran Howell (Kid Sampson), Jon Rudnitsky (McWatt), Kevin J. No word of a lie, I've always thought my family Christmases would benefit from a better soundtrack and a well-timed laugh track. 1. The Winchesters -- Supernatural It would taken some heavenly intervention to get this clan together for the holidays but it would be a helluva party, don't you think? 2. The Johnsons -- black-ish This is a family that throws a great party and, despite their differences, they have an awesome sense of togetherness that buoys the holiday spirit. 3. The Plunketts -- Mom It would be kid-friendly punch and sodas all around but Bonnie and Christy still have a joyful time when they celebrate with their program family (and Adam). Shenanigans guaranteed. 4. The Coopers -- Young Sheldon Some time-travelling required but you know Mary Cooper would have an amazing meal ready and MeeMaw would keep things interesting. The McCords -- Madam Secretary Whether they spend the Yule in Washington D.C. or upstate somewhere, the McCords as a unit exemplify the love and stress and joy and fury of a typical family. Outlander Promo: Brianna Finds Bad Company

The tiny world of the Americas will prove even smaller as Roger continues his search for Brianna. On Outlander Season 4 Episode 8, both Roger and Brianna ultimately find themselves in Wilmington, after which the installment is named. It is there that the two will be reunited, but it may be a short-lived reunion when Brianna discovers all that Roger had been purposefully hiding from her! Of all the people for Roger to stumble onto and ask about seeing Brianna, he runs straight into Fergus. Now, it might be fun for the time traveler in us to imagine being so close but yet so far to people we don't know hundreds of years apart, but after an entire hour of amazing coincidences on Outlander Season 4 Episode 7, the Fergus bumped seems silly in the trailer. Related: Outlander Review: Down the Rabbit Hole That only means Roger, Brianna, or both will probably trip over Young Ian, Rollo, Marsali (really ironic given Brianna's recent visit with Laoghaire) or drop a carton of apples at the feet of Murtagh. It's not as if Murtagh won't be off doing his own thing. The trailer shows he's in a pickle of his own, no longer just a rebel rousing regulator, but labeled an insurgent! Holy 2018 terminology. Whether any of that happens, who knows. But even on different ships at different times and with Roger's ride taking an additional four stops on its way to the Carolinas, somehow he'll find himself in the same tavern as Brianna. No, he won't see her, but he'll recognize her voice from across the room. To be fair, Brianna's voice is one of a kind taken a world away from her 1970's American accent. If he had a Bahstahn lilt, she'd be even easier to pick out of a crowd! We don't know how long the two will be together or how much they'll talk, but the trailer also drops some bad news. Brianna sitting with Stephen Bonnet who then gives to her something precious from her past future can only spell disaster. We've seen him turn on the charm, and he successfully charmed her parents so that they lost not only their fortune but some of their most beloved friends, as well. Related: Get Starz via Prime Video Channels for Captivating Original Series & Hit Movies! Their anniversary is forever tarnished with the memory of Bonnet's strike on their boat and what could have happened instead of what did. Yes, there are too few people in the Americas and it really is a small world when everyone knows everyone and they're falling all over each other into the lives of the next family member to suffer similar consequences at the hands of rotten scoundrels like Bonnet. Take a look at the trailer and place your bets on who else Brianna and Roger might run into while they walk around Wilmington. What will Brianna do when she sees what Bonnet has in his possession? Be sure to watch Outlander online if you're behind! Don't miss a minute of the adventure.

17 Characters With The Best Alter Egos

Watching characters do the same thing repeatedly over the course of a show's run can become monotonous. While it can be refreshing when characters take actions that can be considered out of character, it can also backfire spectacularly when there is no consistency in the characterization of a character. Related: Get CBS All Access via Prime Video Channels for Hit SHows, Exclusive Originals & Live TV! This is where the oft-used schtick of alter egos becomes a tremendous help. It gives the actors more material to sink their teeth into and they get to flex their acting chops in portraying characters that are quite often the opposite of what we're used to seeing them portray. That's not all. Alter egos can also be an artistic way of exploring a character's psyche which has made for some jaw-dropping reveals on TV. These 17 characters are among the few whose alter egos have left us wanting for more. 1. Walter White/Heisenberg (Breaking Bad) After dipping his foot in the waters of the criminal underworld, Walter quickly realized he needed a cover identity to keep himself and his family safe from the dangers of that life. Enter Heisenberg, a necessary evil that gradually chipped away at family man Walter until he became the dominant personality and Walter became nothing more than an afterthought. Looking back now, it wasn't that bad a trade because Heisenberg handles his business with ruthless efficiency. 2. Betty Cooper/Dark Betty (Riverdale) There is nothing particularly wrong with every day Betty, but there is just something about her darker half that makes her much more intriguing. And you can bet that some memorable stuff is about to go down when she shows up. Like that time she nearly boiled Chuck alive in a hot tub. 3. Zuko/The Blue Spirit and Katara/The Painted Lady (Avatar: The Last Airbender) Zuko's daddy issues fueled his relentless hunt for the avatar, but after his soul-searching finally opened his eyes to his father's war-mongering ways, The Blue Spirit was born as the ultimate symbol of his rebellion against the fire lord's tyranny. Katara, on the other hand, adopted the facade of The Painted Lady to aid the people of a riverine village which couldn't be any more faithful to her characterization as a deeply empathetic girl, and she got to meet the real painted lady after everything. 4. Voq/Ash Tyler (Star Trek: Discovery) Voq agreed to have his consciousness supplanted by that of the Ash Tyler and his body modified to look human. This was all done in the hopes that L'Rell will awaken him once the time was right. Obviously, things didn't go the way anyone expected them to, but we're excited to see where they take Ash's storyline now that Voq has been wiped for good 5. Elliot/Mr. Robot (Mr. Robot) Elliot was always against corporate greed but constantly found himself unable to do something about it. Which is where his much more violent alter ego comes in. Mr. Robot is..
