Chicago Fire Season 6 Episode 17 Review: Put White on Me

Otis has some very specific skills. Skills he has acquired over a very...eclectic career. That's right, we found out on Chicago Fire Season 6 Episode 17 that 81's driver can do more than mix a drink and maneuver the extension ladder. But not all surprises are good. Kelly could have done without the shock his mother gave him, and the Casey's really didn't need to have their boat rocked any more this season. How is it possible that a person who has just been introduced to us is acting noticeably out of character? Not that Jennifer seeing Benny was surprise, she straight up asked Boden for his contact info after all, but it did seem like a leap for her to jump right into bed with him. Although maybe the bigger leap was Benny getting back into an actual relationship with her. Last time we saw him he was with some arm candy closer to Kelly's age. Related: 19 TV Characters Uninvited From The Family Feast Astute viewers caught Jennifer's little slip about what she was doing in Chicago though. The first time she was questioned, she came at her pastor's urging, the second time it was her idea to come. Was that just bad writing, or does Mama Severide Sheridan have an ulterior motive? More importantly, do we really care? Stella: Well, your mom hates me. Kelly: chance. Stella: Well, she does. Kelly: She's a saint. She doesn't hate anyone. Stella: [pause] Whatever you say. Uh, but, uh, you're wrong. Permalink: Whatever you say. Uh, but, uh, you're wrong. Added: April 05, 2018 I'm only interested in Ms. Sheridan's antics in so far as they impact #Stellaride. Getting back with Benny is asking for trouble, but that's not really our problem, is it? As long as Stella stops embarrassing herself, I may be fine with the situation. My vicarious embarrassment was so acute I had to mute the TV during the kitchen scene. That kind of anxiety is not enjoyable. Still, maybe Kelly should have Dr. Charles swing by for a casual evaluation at Molly's. Couldn't hurt. Or maybe someplace more private. Molly's really isn't the place to keep secrets, as Gabby and Matt found out. I love me some Gabriella Dawson, but she really needs to stop using Sylvie as her sounding broad and talk things over with her husband instead. Even if she had broken the news to Matt about Cordova in a less...public...manner, he was going to feel betrayed. She was screwed as soon as that first shift was over. I need more details. When you say a few dates, what do you mean? You mean, dinner and a movie or leave your toothbrush at his place kind of thing? Sylvie Permalink: I need more details. When you say a few dates, what do you mean? You mean, dinner and a movie... Added: April 05, 2018 Even without her pattern of keeping things from Matt, not telling him about her history with Otis' sub was going to cause problems. It'd be one thing if she legi..

Scandal Season 7 Episode 16 Review: People Like Me

What will it take for Mellie and Olivia to win the battle against Cyrus and Jake? On Scandal Season 7 Episode 16, scheming was at the forefront. We've known who the two villains are for weeks now, and watching Olivia and QPA trying to get the upper hand on the situation was utterly underwhelming. There was no way Olivia was going to pull the trigger when it came down to it. Hell, it's difficult to imagine her even letting that beautiful old bottle of '76 wine being wasted on the man who is trying to orchestrate one of the biggest coups in the history of the Scandal. I'm convinced she would have knocked the glass out of his hand at the last second. It's surprising it didn't wind up across the floor. She was trembling like crazy. While I appreciated Olivia talking a big game, and even standing behind a chair for good measure, it would have been laughable if she even picked up the chair and threw it all the way back to Scandal Season 5 and "handled" Cyrus. Olivia: I do not kill. Not anymore. Mellie: 418,000 Americans died in World War II. Heroes. There is such a thing as a just war. And we are in the middle of one. Permalink: 418,000 Americans died in World War II. Heroes. There is such a thing as a just war. And we... Added: April 06, 2018 Everything between Cyrus and Olivia was horrible, dragged out nonsense until Jake stepped in and revealed that she and Mellie leave all of the stuff to get done to the men. Related: Scandal Review: Army of One While that may sometimes be the case, they have each done their fair share of wicked things over the years that would render that argument useless. Maybe there's a part of Jake that did not want Olivia to murder Cyrus because then he would be back at square one in his quest to get power. It's all about power with these characters, and it's pretty sad. Olivia let the power go to her head the first time she was working with Mellie, but it looks like this time she's going to be ready to fight all of the wars coming her way without resorting to silly old plots, and strutting around the White House like she owns it. The big purpose of "People Like Me" was to reiterate to viewers that Mellie and Olivia do not resort to murdering people to get what they want, but in Olivia's case, it seems like the powers that be have forgotten half of the stunts she's pulled over the years. I liked that Fitz managed to talk some sense into Mellie because there was no way she would have been able to forgive herself for resorting to the murder of Cyrus. I am the commander in chief of the Armed Forces. Gotham Season 4 Episode 17 Review: Mandatory Brunch Meeting

How boring. Gotham expected our jaws to drop to the ground on Gotham Season 4 Episode 17 when Xander turned out to be Jerome's twin, but the only thing my jaw managed to do was stretch into a big yawn. Maybe if there weren't so many spoilers released by various sources the reveal would have evoked a stronger emotion, but it's hard to get excited when you already have an idea of what the endgame will be. I'm also not sure that I agree or like the way this story is going if these various sources are to be believed. Will it be Jeremiah that becomes The Joker? The whole idea of it all is exhausting. I'm going to take a wild guess that Jeremiah becomes the Joker after getting sprayed with some of Scarecrow's laughing venom -- or something like that. I honestly don't understand why Jerome just can't be The Joker so we can move forward. Related: Gotham Season 4 Episode 16 Review: One of My Three Soups The continuing game of "Who's the Joker" seems nothing more than a ratings ploy and that's probably the biggest reason I'm so turned off by Jerome, Jeremiah and the whole Joker storyline. Does anyone really care anymore? I would rather have spent the hour focusing on Babs and her new gig as the Demon's Head, but Gotham doesn't roll that way because it likes being chaotic instead of linear. And it likes not making sense more than it likes to make sense. Like Lee kissing Riddler which was totally out of left field, but we'll get to that little gem later. What was enjoyable about Jerome's storyline this hour was his "Mandatory Brunch Meeting" with all the horribles of Gotham's underworld. All them working together to try to bring down Gotham is exciting and could be the perfect opportunity for Bruce to really spread those batwings. That's the way I wish Gotham would go with the whole Jerome storyline. Granted a crazy in charge might become grating after a while, but that's why we have Penguin. Related: Gotham Season 4 Episode 15 Review: The Sinking Ship The Grand Applause He'd be able to set everything straight especially now that he's rebuilding his army with Butch in tow. He could be the man in charge with Jerome and the rest of the crazies at his disposal. I'm sure he, Babs and Lee could work together and divide Gotham up enough to make them all happy. They'd create enough havoc to keep Jim and Bruce in business. If Jerome calmed down and became the Joker instead of dead Jerome again (that's my guess is that his next death is going to be final like Fish Mooney's was at the end of last season) then the Gotham would be perfect. But that's how it's going to happen. What I don't understand about Jeremiah and Jerome's story is if Jerome had all this anger and angst built up against his brother why did it take this long for him to hunt Jeremiah down? Why didn't he go after J..

Arrow Season 6 Episode 17 Review: Brothers In Arms

The drama continues in the latest chapter of Arrow as Oliver and Diggle finally duke it out. While the boys are butting heads, Ricardo Diaz continues to rise as the Dragon of Star City. Where to begin with Arrow Season 6 Episode 17? This was a roller coaster that I'm not sure no one should have to experience. We have been here many times where our heroes are constantly arguing with each other. This time it was Diggle's turn to lose his patience with Oliver which was heavy. Related: Krypton Review: The War Against Brainiac Begins! It is difficult to take anyone's side in this absurd argument. Both of them made valid points during their shouting contest that felt like a high school showdown. But these are two grown men in, what I assume, their mid-30s at this point. Their fight was heartbreaking as well as extremely petty. Every story has conflict and drama between characters, I get it. It would be unrealistic if characters always got along and agreed on everything. But Arrow Season 6 doesn't get to have that. Because this is what we get every season of Arrow where the team is always fighting each other. It doesn't help that we have seen the newbies fight with Team Arrow for multiple episodes now. This is repetitive writing and not what a Green Arrow show should have. I don't know who was the worst out of the two of them. Oliver bringing up Diggle killing his own brother or Diggle listing the loved ones that have died because of Oliver's actions. Related: Get Comic-Con HQ via Prime Video Channels to Stream Original Series, Past Comic-Con Panels & More! The worst aspect of this story is that this is probably what Diaz wants. He will benefit from Oliver being completely alone without a team. Sure he has Felicity, but she is no vigilante so technically Ollie is going solo now. Despite the intensity of their fighting, it is dragging down the season as a whole. This is also the result of having 23 episodes per season. They have to stir some other drama up until we get to the final 2-3 episodes of Arrow Season 6. Remember how The Flash Season 4 had Barry and Iris go to therapy for their problems? We got that in The Flash Season 4 Episode 2 which made wonders for their relationship. Let me add that they're both younger than these two grown men and yet they make better decisions. The fact that this has to be typed out is insane! Maybe Diggle has a point about Oliver being a horrible leader. A true leader would be able to solve issues like this without fists and yelling. Siren Season 1 Episode 3 Review: Interview With a Mermaid

Things settle down a little with the rush to find Ryn's sister while Xander and Calvin's mission heats up in contrast. Pulling back on one story while extending another also helped Ben and Maddie learn more about Ryn's mythology, as well as what they might be up against. On Siren Season 1 Episode 3, Ben and Maddie spend the day interviewing and filming their interactions with Ryn. This plan turns on them though when Ryn's connection with both of them ends with her sleeping with them in bed for the night. Meanwhile, Xander and Calvin track down Chris and the base that is keeping the other mermaid. Ryn is picking up the language and her communication skills are only getting better. But with that comes her curiosity and her incredible strength, two things that run the risk of exposing her. Now having the town find out her identity is off the table but why can't she go in the water? Related: Watch Real Lives, Real Stories, & Real Celebrities on Reelz Channel via Prime Video Channels! Ryn doesn't want to go back there, which is interesting because she did it before and washed up on shore the next morning again. The case could be made that she doesn't want to deal with the pain but it isn't like she's not struggling to avoid the water. She needs it and there is more of a risk if she doesn't find her way back to it. Her need to find her sister won't fade away if she makes sure she is actually capable to keep looking, because soon enough she will be more of a liability than any help to the group. She almost killed you in the water. Madi Permalink: She almost killed you in the water. Added: April 05, 2018 Maddie's bond with Ryn is captivating me most right now, maybe because I love their chemistry so much. The moment when she climbs into bed with them though has me asking so many questions. Ryn has a way of affecting Maddie and Ben, yet they don't seem to mind? Maddie didn't care that Ben was a second away from kissing another girl and this makes me question where this trio is going. When it comes to Ryn I can't get a good enough read to know if she actually cares for Maddie and Ben or if they are purely a means to an end right now. Related: Enjoy UNLIMITED access to thousands of Movies and TV shows with Prime Video. WATCH ANYWHERE. CANCEL ANYTIME! What I do know is that those two are hooked on Ryn and probably one day away from suggesting that they all get together instead of them being a couple separate from her I would be totally onboard that idea only if Ryn continues to confuse them for a little while longer. There is just something truly entertaining when she is interacting with one of them and they don't know what is going on. The way that they become entranced this way by Ryn is also a great reminder that she has a darkness about her that we still haven't explored all that fully. You don't know what you are dealing w..
